What is Screen Printing?

Screen printing is a printing method where ink is pressed through a mesh screen onto a surface such as fabric, paper, or posters. The screen is coated with a UV-sensitive substance called emulsion, which is exposed to light to create a stencil of the desired design.

For designs with multiple colors, each color requires its own separate screen. These screens are carefully aligned (registered) on a printing press, and ink is applied one layer at a time through each screen. This process builds up the final design on the material, resulting in a clean, vibrant print.
