OUR STORY
BHERD didn’t start in a board room or have a business plan. It started in a basement at the start of COVID.
When schools shut down, I lost my full time job. Just sitting around and waiting for something to come my way wasn’t really an option for me, I had to go make my own path.
So I went back to what I had always done. I had been designing for years. Websites, logos, tattoos, even painting for friends and small businesses throughout highschool and college.
Creating things was never new to me, it just finally became the focus. So I bought a used screen printing press on eBay and got to work. DESIGN naturally led into screen printing, but the foundation was already there long before that. My grandmother owned a quilt shop in a small town, and my mom followed in her footsteps, as a seamstress her entire life. I was literally raised around garments, fabric, and craftsmanship. I also grew up seeing how hard it was for small businesses to keep up with websites, apparel, marketing and everything that comes with trying to look professional and compete with the BIG GUYS in town.
That was my edge. I was always the one helping with that.
BHerd really took shape when Jarrod and I teamed up. Our wives had been best friends since they were babies, and what started as a few conversations around the bonfire with a drink in hand, turned into late nights in my basement printing shirts, watching whatever game was on, and figuring things out as we went. No shortcuts, just learning, improving, and getting a little better with every order.
That mindset still drives everything we do.
We believe you can be affordable without sacrificing high quality. We believe the process should be SIMPLE. And we believe small businesses, teams, and events deserve to look just as good as anyone else without jumping through hoops to get there.You shouldn’t have to figure it all out on your own. When you go to a mechanic or a doctor, you trust their experience. We take the same approach. We know what works, and we’ll guide you every step of the way.
We are a small company with real people and real roots in Buffalo. The City of Good Neighbors. That is how we try to do business. Relationships come first. We take care of people and we handle the details so you do not have to.
